desi cam rar apar poze noi ... :-S ... in ritmul asta ... pana in 2008 ne facem o idee vaga despre cum va fi jocul ...

for info check this:  www.nma-fallout.com -> Fallout 3 -> Is there Hope?

and read this:

So we can assume that whatever work was done over at Black Isle on Fallout 3 -- the "Van Buren" project -- is not being used?
Pete Hines: It's a little too early to talk about whether we'd be using any assets.

When VanBuren was shut down by Interplay, the development team at Black Isle was already well into development. What resources, if any, are you going to be salvaging?
Pete Hines: I don't know what assets we'll be using from any previous projects.

As a followup to the above, will you be using Black Isle's original Fallout 3 design document?
Pete Hines: I don't know if anyone in our office has seen that design document and how much of it we'd use or not use. Again, too early to say.

So are you working with the previous Interplay "Van Buren" assets and developers, or are you starting from scratch with a new engine and assets?
Pete Hines: Too early to talk about that kind of thing.

Will Bethesda's Fallout 3 retain any elements of the "Van Buren" game that was in development at Black Isle Studios? Reports are that it was nearly complete.
Todd Howard: No, we're going to start fresh.

QuotePete Hines: Yes. We've licensed the rights to Fallout 3 as well as sequels -- Fallout 4, Fallout 5.

:idiot:

toro

Quote
Will the game be using the faux-2D viewpoint that Black Isle had planned, or do you think you'll be doing something closer to Morrowind?
Pete Hines: Too early to say for sure, but my guess is we'll want to use technologies that are already being developed, rather than start all over with something new/different, or a style of game that isn't really what we do well.

Finally, will Fallout 3 be from a first- or third-person perspective like the Morrowind series, or isometric, like its predecessors?
Pete Hines: Too early to say, but I imagine it'll probably lean towards using technology that we're developing.

Morrowind was a first-person, real-time, action RPG. Fallout and its sequel were isometric-view, third-person, turn-based RPGs. What will Fallout 3 be?
Todd Howard: Too early to say. We're looking at many options.

(but that's just me)  ;)
There is no such thing as innocence... only degrees of guilt

Ktav

ar fi misto sa fie primul joc care are si vedere 1st person si top-down view, da implementate calumea pt ambele vederi :)

doro69

view bird`s eye, 3d graphics
turn based
muzica neschimbata

Intrebare:
De ce pentru Pirates of The Carribean nu a folosit Bethesda Net Immers-ul (engine-ul din Morrowind) ci a facut altul nou (STorm2)? Pentru ca daca nu stiati Beth a facut Enginme-ul Storm2!
Si faza ca nu a facut jocuri izometrice....no comment! Black Isle a facut numai jocuri IZOMETRICE!

"Josh E. Sawyer, who you may remember as a developer for the Van Buren project, has a nifty new interview with RPGCodex. All sorts of interesting information and quite a bit about Sawyer's take on Van Buren.

   4. Moving on, next stop - Black Isle's Fallout 3, you are the lead designer again. What was your vision for the game? Where you were going to take the series and would your vision fit into the setting, the feel, the style of the first two games?

Not to speak too much for Chris Avellone, but we both agreed that Fallout 3 shouldn't feel like the world was really getting better. In fact, we wanted to make it feel like it was getting worse. Any infrastructure that groups like NCR had built up had become corrupted and was boiling with the nastier aspects of human social organization: tyranny, war, graft, intolerance -- all that good stuff.

NCR had been totally corrupted by the caravan houses. The Brotherhood of Steel was falling apart and rife with desperation and paranoia. A megalomaniacal tribal despot had risen from the ranks of the Followers of the Apocalypse. The Mormons of New Canaan were divided on issues of religious acceptance and racial biases. Even the remaining super mutants had to deal with a new problem: their impending extinction.

Would BIS' Fallout 3 have fit into the style of the first two? Sure! Yeah, it would have been great! Best ever! Of course I think it did, but I know a lot of people had big problems with the system changes I was making and with the inclusion of groups like the Mormons.

13. Long time ago, answering a question about the future of RPGs at NMA, you said that they are going "straight to hell" and that "Troika is one of the last pure PC RPG developer in the U.S." How would you answer the same question today?

To my knowledge there are no pure PC RPG developers left outside of very small outfits like Spiderweb Software."
